Could see them wanting that game for recruiting purposes but wouldn't surprise me if UNC buys out the return game.

They also landed Vanderbilt.

I don't see UNCCH buying out the return. They do not Tech in Atlanta in 22, and for recruiting they want to be in Atlanta. Of course GST has to have their new stadium by then to host anyone.

That is the spin you'll hear out of the UNCCH camp, but they play GA Tech in ATL every other year. A game vs. GA St. isn't moving the recruiting needle for them.

UNCCH plays AT ODU, GA St., and UNCC in the future and all of a sudden their also ok playing WCU at home now.

P5s traveling to G5s is becoming increasingly common because it makes more sense for them financially than paying the G5 for a one-time visit. Plus, with the way UNC got hammered for playing two FCS teams last year (while many other schools played one FCS and one FBS bottom-feeder), I'm sure they and many others took notice and figure they might as well schedule cannon fodder like GSU rather than an FCS team.

App and UNC both have open dates in 2018 and 2019....just sayin'. I know many of you despise everything about the Heels...and justifiably so, but there is something to be said for the highest profile program in your state agreeing to schedule you. I for one would be psyched to see UNC on the docket. Given our recent success they could do UH-lot worse.

Both only have a home date open in '18, though I imagine App would try their hardest to push back the game at Charlotte if it meant landing a home and home w/Carolina. A series in 2019-20 would require no adjustments by either team.

However, I don't think schedule availability has ever been the obstacle here.

I'd be just as happy playing NC State and/or Duke. The Devils would be a really tough game. DG has done a great job with OOC scheduling so far and I have all the faith in the world in him.

I would love to get a home and home with Duke. Really think we'd have a good shot against them, and I don't think we'd have to give them a huge allotment of seats in KBS.

The ONLY thing I like about unc is that they will not play us.
