Forgive me if I missed it, but what place will this bowl be in the order of picking?

I could make this bowl better than I could the others, mainly because it's after Christmas and I can convince my wife with a good gift.

Yes please, cheap flight or drive. Selfishly, this is great.

I was in Tucson last year for work. It is a kinda cool kinda dumpy town. Distance would make it tough but it would be a lot of fun as a bowl destination. I'd certainly try to get out there if App was in the game.

As of right now, no TV options. Online streaming only. Odd.

No new Bowls. I assume this was an existing bowl. The date is better anything closer to NYD has a more bowl like feel. But, I have to say from a selfish standpoint I would like to see us in Montgomery again. Easy travel, decent city, good App turnout. I doubt we would send very many to Arizona.

The NCAA has placed a three-year moratorium on new bowl games. The Arizona Bowl already exists. I think 2015 was the first one.

This is the bowl that had two Mountain West teams playing in it last year.

Good to have another tie-in. Now we just have to figure out a way to get five teams eligible. As long as it doesn't mean App dropping a game we shouldn't so somebody can sneak in at 6-6. *cough*#StateNotSouthern*cough*

I used to always feel that as a fan of say, NCSU, UNC, etc it would be best to play in a bowl within a decent driving distance in order to be able to go if possible. Now that we are in the bowl thing I kind of lean the same way, even it means possibly returning to the same cities over a few years. As long as we get a respectable opponent I am good. As far as playing in Arizona, doesn't sound too appealing but that is just me.

I was disappointed in our draw last year, but after the experience I've come to realize that it doesn't matter what city App plays in as long as I'm surrounding by 8,000 App fans it's going to be fun.

Bad location, good potential match-ups with the MWC. It could be that we get our shot at Boise one of these years...Against them I think we'd get a decent turnout despite the distance.

The Arizona Bowl will (likely) be the fifth in the bowl lineup after the NOLA Bowl, GoDaddy Bowl, Camellia Bowl and Cure Bowl, in that order.

Funny that it gives a nice carrot for NMSU and Idaho in the next two seasons before they're gone. Idaho has a legit shot at a bowl this upcoming season with their schedule and offense.

I think it would be hilarious is Idaho or NMSU somehow made this bowl after all the whining some of the Texas State fans have done about no bowls for them. Of course they have to get eligible first.

Looked at the MWC web site. Lots of good names there including Boise State. Average weather trend for this bowl site is dry with daytime highs in the mid 60s and lows mid 40s. This may be a good bowl. Downside is travel distance. No TV package really hurts it though.
