Glad to have Coastal in the Belt ! I was on the fence about their initial selection into the SunBelt but have really warmed to the idea. With new additions of App, GS, and Coastal, we will quickly pass CUSA in conference standings .

If today's game would have been played tomorrow, would The Belt get to crow about the title on Coastal's behalf? Just thinking...

Considering how the BS dissed Coastal they don't deserve to crow.

We were at the airport to pick up our daughter from 11 pm flight so we joined the crowd welcoming CCU home. Good crowd for midnight.

I can't wait to go watch us play football at CCU. Loved the trips to Charleston. Is CCU going to be a conference opponent that we will have a hard time hating? LOL. That win was awesome.

I'll be driving through Conway tonight. Might have to swing through the campus to see if anything is going on.

a lot of Sun Belt fans were on the fence about adding Coastal due to football, but their overall athletic program is possibly the best in the conference. Their football won't be any worse than Idaho, NMSU, or GSU prior to last season thats for sure.

I think many are underestimating Coastal's football program. I am not saying they will be as strong as APP or GS were when we made the move, but I certainly hope they will be facing a much improved GA State, Troy and a better football conference top to bottom. Coastal will be a good addition and I think Benson deserves some credit. I would also like to think he received whatever type of support was available from both APP and GS early and often during the Coastal recruiting process.

I am also pretty sure Coastal had support for joining the SoCon from APP and GS when the Furmans of the world decided to add Samford instead.

Congrats to the Sandlappers. A great accomplishment for any team but to take the big College World Series trophy back down the beach highway almost to Surfside is pretty amazing. Columbia's no longer the baseball capital of SC. CCU's no longer in the Big South.

They had a parade and ceremony at the baseball stadium today. We happened to be at the beach this week and my mother-in-law lives at Quail Creek right next to CCU. Didn't make the parade, but made it to the ceremony.

I'm sure the players will be out partying tonght.
