What is the Jests connection to pick up three UFA from App?

Don’t forget Exford. He signed with the Texans.

I would imagine they took a shot at Doug and they have loved who he is on and off the field so much they went back to the well. It's not just that the Jets are signing App guys, they are signing the LEADERS! Middleton, Moore, Stout; those guys are legends and leaders!

Don't recall seeing one Sun Belt player drafted but several MACs.

At least one player from ULM was taken that I saw.

Also, the first post is mislabeled a bit, should show Exford to the Jags. Only 2 of our guys have signed with the Jets.

Hayes to the Jags, Exford to the Texans.

ULMs Marcus Green went to the Falcons as a return man with pick 203.....

Green is a really fun player to watch. He torched us down there in the return game. If he had been bigger I could have seen him going in the 4th or 5th round. Very fun to watch if you are a fan of ULM, I'm sure. He was the best all-purpose player in the SBC with Duck and Penny Hart close behind.

Evans was the best all-purpose player in the league.

That dude at Monroe was really good. I would imagine if outside media rankings would say ULM guy and then Evans from last year. No question that Evans is the best coming in this year. I feel like we have the best QB, RB, All-purpose, S, OT, LB, WR, and C in the SBC for 2019 for sure.

I hope that is the case in 2019 , I believe it was in '18.

If Moore had other offers, I'm not sure that the Jets were the best choice. With Elijah McGuire filling a similar role to Jalin and the addition of Leveon Bell, getting a roster spot is going to be tough. If he plays well through offseason work outs and makes it into camp, he would need a standout preseason to make the practice squad.

I'm almost certain that there is a plan for Stout in the NFL. He has the ability to play 3 tech on passing downs and should be able to get after the QB pretty good. May take a couple of years in a NFL strength program but he has an opportunity to be beastly playing 3 tech in a 4-3 rather than manning the nose.

Evans is good but App's offensive line and scheme never gets enough credit. You could ALMOST plug any running back on the roster in as a starter and get production from them. Evans has the home run speed of course but he isn't a good runner between the tackles and doesn't make his own yards if there isn't a path cleared for him.

No doubt that we have had plenty of excellent OLs over the years, and last year's OL got kudos on the conference level but I disagree that we could plug any back in and get production. Our OL has been a strength within our system, but has been undersized which caused us to stall out in the red zone quite a bit last year. Part of that was that we had some young guys in starting roles and they improved as the year went on. Yes, the OL should always get some credit when the offense is clicking but Evans athleticism in space puts him in rare air. As I've said elsewhere, I think 2019 will be very interesting because the OL will have more experience and depth and the WR and RB talent will be there also. I believe this could be a very fun season.

I'm with you on this. This is why Evans would have ZERO business going pro early. We had 5 RBs this past year who could have run for 1,000 yards. They are all very good but also had a great scheme and OL to run behind.

It's hard to argue about his average 91 ypg and 6.6 ypc. Compare it to recent others, pretty darned impressive, which is on par with Jalin Moore's 5 games. It is a tap, tap, tap, and then a big chunk breaks off style.

Let's see what Peoples brings, he a downhill runner, with a combo of size speed and power. Smaller sample size with 3 games played.

Evans was fourth in the nation of runs over 20 yards. He had one every 10 carries. And he did that with only starting 5 games.
