Marching Mountaineers halftime show
Anyone got a video from the halftime show. If you were there, you know what I mean.

Re: Marching Mountaineers halftime show
If referring to the fiddle player I took a short video of her solo on my phone, but I did not record her entire performance as I wanted to enjoy her show. I'll post it in a day or two when I have time.
Was there something else I did not notice?

Congrats to the Band for the invitation to London for the New Years Parade. Wondering if we need to start a GoFundMe for them? That will be an expensive trip.

I assumed the funding was already in place and this was a done deal since the Lord Mayor did take the time to jump across the pond for the announcement. It is for this coming New Year's correct?

I think it's for next year not this year, but I could be wrong.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 9:27 amI assumed the funding was already in place and this was a done deal since the Lord Mayor did take the time to jump across the pond for the announcement. My son went with the JSU Marching Southerners several years ago. No funding is included...each member pays their own way. Fundraising to help with their costs is a great idea.

I went to Spain with the band in 2011 and know people who went to London a couple years ago. The band members have to pay their own wayMcLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 9:27 amI assumed the funding was already in place and this was a done deal since the Lord Mayor did take the time to jump across the pond for the announcement. Re: Marching Mountaineers halftime show
The Spain trip my freshman year was about $1,400 per band member if I remember correctly. I didn't go. The big brass, drum line and shakos had to be shipped about a month beforehand. The funny part about that trip was that there were 3 sets of charter flights booked and the halftime show equipment was already packed on the truck just in case. Scenario 1 had the Spain crew fly to Madrid and then immediately flying to Texas where the rest of the band would meet them if App went to the Championship game. 2nd and sadder sinario had the rest of the band home for winter and the Spain crew flying back to charlotte after an app playoff loss
