We are currently only up by 100 votes. I went to the site a refreshed it every 20 seconds or so and they must have three or four kids sitting in a room together clearing history and voting over and over. As they will probably have the lead by the time I post this.
Appalachian State, Better than your school since 1899!!!!

In previous rounds they have adjusted the vote totals to eliminate multiple votes from the same IP.

They definitely have someone stuffing the ballot box. Their vote total went up by 17 in two minutes.

How do you know what our vote totals are? All it says on my screen is 'thanks for voting', where App's name and total should be. Still appears to be tied 50/50 at the moment. Vote!

We're losing now. Unless they adjust the votes it looks as if those ganging up on us will be successful.

I voted earlier. Last I saw it was 51-49 Brevard.

That's what it was when I voted this morning.

Brevard had about 3X more votes than in any other round. Just have to hope they adjust out the multiple votes again.

There is no way Brevard College is capable of legitimately beating us in a popular vote. We either won or they allowed multiple votes.

It stopped letting me vote about 3 days ago. That's why I posted asking for updates, although that was some incredible deductive reasoning there whoever pointed out how to subtract from 100.

Well if we didnt' win then I guess Western "lite" will enjoy the limelight! Never did see how you could see the raw vote.

I doubt it's only Brevard College folks voting for them. Much more likely there are people voting against App State. I voted against Davidson the entire way.

But that's different because you went to the page to vote for App and voted against Davidson while you were there. People would have to go to the site with the sole purpose of voting against App in the finals.

I honestly think it's just a handful of BC folks sitting there stuffing the ballot for hours at a time every day.

Well, voting is closed and we won't know who won til August. If Brevard is allowed to keep those votes, because I am POSITIVE that some Brevard students or alumni were stuffing the ballot box, then so be it. Appalachian State earned that win by voting daily for the past month and beating so many powerhouses, while Brevard only beat Davidson, Maryville, and Western.

Calm down folks. This isn't really that big of a deal.

Maybe so, but if there is a competition in which ASU is involved then I want to win it.

I wanted to win and voted daily as well, but if we end up losing, it isn't as if Brevard is located in the bustling downtown of a major metropolitan area or in some BFE wasteland. Brevard is a legitimate outdoor school and recognition in such an unscientific poll isn't unwarranted. Everyone isn't out to get us. There are kids in East Hall less paranoid than some of y'all!

Voted daily also but if you think there weren't others voting against us then go back and take a look at Brevard's vote totals that they had before the final. The highest number before the final was just over 8,000. Their second round match was won with just over 5,000. The final was more than double the number of the previous high. Either many more students cared to vote or others were helping stuff the box. We also voted against other schools so fair is fair but no way a school the size of Bervard beat us without a lot of help.

There probably are some spite votes and there's certainly some multiple votes. Hell, I voted multiple times from different browsers, devices, and locations on some days, myself. But many of their votes could just as easily be coming from people who know the area, locals, etc who have no connection to the school. All I'm saying is that no matter what happens, Brevard is a "real" outdoor school and that they certainly belong in a discussion of top outdoor schools in the region. Everything isn't a conspiracy.
