Re: Earthquake in the High Country
Just wanted to say I survived the Great Boone Quake. It did make my belly jiggle a little bit more than usual and my dogs weren't too happy but all is well.8993 wrote:A 2.9 magnitude earthquake briefly shook the High Country this afternoon.

Not only did I survive, I had to read a press release to even know it happened -- and that's only about a mile or so from my house.

Re: Earthquake in the High Country
That is about right. It takes a 3.0 to feel an earthquake. If this was a 2.9 that would be about what I would expect one to say.MountainMan wrote:Not only did I survive, I had to read a press release to even know it happened -- and that's only about a mile or so from my house.

The noise when the Griz score their first TD on Saturday will probably shake the earth more than this.

Re: Earthquake in the High Country
Coupled with the intense cold, I'm guessing it's a good thing I can't make it. Game time temp, I heard, is supposed to be hovering around -18ºF, is that still the forecast?GrizAlum'10 wrote:The noise when the Griz score their first TD on Saturday will probably shake the earth more than this.
