I guess its neat. It will have to only run specific routes and I wouldn't use that on game day. Some liquid projectiles might find their way to the bottom level. Not sure this was money we'll spent. Outside of game days I wonder if it will ever hit capacity?

Re: Double decker bus
I rode the Pop 105 and Green routes during school and they would almost always be at capacity during peak times on Tuesday/Thursday. If you didn’t get to the stop soon enough or pushed your way to the front, you would be SOL. I imagine it’s worse now with additional apartments built regularly. It should be money well spent if they maintain them and they don’t fall apart.

Re: Double decker bus
They were testing out a double-decker a couple of years ago while my son was in school. He enjoyed riding it and said it was full almost every day on his route.appdaze wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 10:40 amI guess its neat. Re: Double decker bus
Took a ride during the Fall of 2024 for first time since I was in school in 1995. Packed with students. Got on the bus at the traffic circle by the library and rode it down King Street to daughters apartment.
The route I took made various stops down King Street....not far from traffic circle. First thought that came to mind when people were getting off the bus...you rode the bus for this short trip. You could have been home by now given the wait time for bus and the short ride.

Back in the day, my ride was from COB to parking lot behind Broyhill Hill Center..I would ride during inclement or when I did not have much time between school and getting to work I normally just walked it in good weather.
