One negative, despite what you think about him hanging out in Chapel Hill, he would sell out the stadium unlike Pardi

Red Rocks was an eye opening experience for ticket prices the last time I was in Denver area..Elected not to go as cheapest ticket was like $350 to $400 per ticket. I rationalized that Spotify was good enough.

We are going out to Denver in August and the wife looked for shows at Red Rocks that week. The prices were an immediate no.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 8:58 amRed Rocks was an eye opening experience for ticket prices the last time I was in Denver area..Elected not to go as cheapest ticket was like $350 to $400 per ticket. haha, I read that as 'the wife looked for shoes for Red Rocks' if that tells you where my life is at.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 9:28 amWe are going out to Denver in August and the wife looked for shows at Red Rocks that week. Gotta put that stadium to use in the off season! Clemson had over 90,000 there for George Strait a week ago. They made an absolute fortune.

Wonder how much free time there is during the summer that the stadium isn't used. Would think at least a concert once a month would be useful for the town/school.

Now, George Strait is a name I know.
Agreed, it would be nice to get more usage out of stadium.
I wonder if lack of use is due to the past comments about getting to Boone overall .. it ain't easy to get to...

You would think a lot would want to play an evening show in Boone in the summer. Feels so much better than the rest of the south in the summer.

If the right headliner is booked at KBS, folks will show up. We’ve seen it before, it can happen again.

Like Tom Petty said, modern cou try is just bad rock with a fiddle. I completely agree. Most of the country music today is just watered down rock with a twang.

He sold out BoA in CLT a couple of weeks ago, great show. That was a special circumstance. Google says Zach Bryan performed at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards Stadium on August 30, 2025, because of his love for West Virginia, a desire to play a unique stadium show requested by his team, and a personal connection to the area after attending a Marshall football game in 2024.

Our man Luke could fill it up again. I'd like to see Whiskey Meyers or Treaty Oak come up. IDK if they'd fill it up though.

Im sure Luke could play KBS anytime he wanted. Even with the discount he played for last time, we were still in the negative from that show. Takes a whole lot facilities wise to pull a show off of that magnitude.

That's kind of ironic, because I think if Tom Petty were to just be starting in today's popular music world, he'd be pigeonholed as country. If it has a slight twang, it's considered country these days.
Eric Church is far more akin to John Mellencamp than he is Conway Twitty.
Chris Stapleton has more in common, sonically, with the Allman Bros. or Lynyrd Skynyrd than George Jones or Hank Williams.

Agreed. I see modern country as the evolution of pop-rock. I think back to the late 90's early 2000's pop era of creed and such and you could throw a twang in that and its modern country.MrCraig wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2026 1:19 pmThat's kind of ironic, because I think if Tom Petty were to just be starting in today's popular music world, he'd be pigeonholed as country. Best post I have read on Yosef's Cabin. I have never thought of it that way but very true. You have to decide who is going to push your music....the country station or the pop station and then try to look the part. If you don't fit one of those you get no play time.MrCraig wrote: ↑Fri May 15, 2026 1:19 pmThat's kind of ironic, because I think if Tom Petty were to just be starting in today's popular music world, he'd be pigeonholed as country.
