Re: New Position: Dir. of Promotions and Fan Engagement
This is good news; would have been a huge plus to have had such a person in our FBS discussions.
Marketing is a necessary function of any business, program, etc. As fans, we know the value of Appalachian sports, especially those fall afternoons in the high country. It's the job of marketing to expose that knowledge to the market. You have to tell people.
This probably needs to be someone from outside the Appalachian family that is flush with fresh and innovative ideas ready to think outside the box.

Many of these functions were previously handled through Yosef. In the coming years the ticket office and Yosef will be integrated to some degree by this new position. The more I hear about it, the more excoted I am about the news.JCline0429 wrote:

It's all good.
If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

Thanks, but some of the computer software mentioned in the job description is just a wee bit beyond my expertise. We'll get some good candidates, though.

What happened to the marketing guy at App that looked like Jim Rome? Wes was his name I think...
