What An Experience!
Last Saturday I had one of those special experiences that will be lodged in my memory forever. I participated in the AppState Cycling Team's group ride and tailgate before the Wofford game. I must be honest, I approached the ride with much trepidation, dreading the chill factor and mountain climbs. But all of that anxiety was unwarranted. For October 20th the weather was "picture perfect" for a bike ride. The team had every detail well thought out and coordinated.The group leader kept the pace down and allow us to regroup at intersections. But what made the ride very, very special was the fellowship and scenery. Riding the Viaduct was awesome. The best way to visualize the cyclists weaving through the Viaduct with the bright colors of the autumn foliage all around is use your imagination. What a fantastic day I had, the ride, the tailgate, and then the football game. What a day to be an App State alumnus, thanks to the AppState Cycling Team. Go App!
