Naming Rights

Unread post by appskimtnswim » Fri Feb 27, 2015 11:18 am

Was talking with a Wake grad at work today, and found out that Wake has some unique naming opportunities for "the rest of us". During the month of February, if you make a donation to any of WF funds, you will have the chance to win a naming right for some random things around campus. Some of the items that will be named are the flat speed bump on campus, a random metal pin in the middle of their quad, the directory on the front of one of their buildings (not the building, just the sign that has the building name on it), etc. http://wakewill.wfu.edu/naming-rights.

I don't know if App has ever done this, or considered doing this, but I think it's a great idea. I would be more likely to donate a little more money if I knew that I was going to have the chance to win the naming rights to Daniel Boone Statue's camp fire or one of the Parking Lot Gates outside of Peacock Hall.
