Just quoting one of my favorite Simpsons scenes. I could say the frogurt was cursed.appelect wrote:Frogurt has been closed for a couple of years. Building has been empty.

Personally, I am much more excited about Krispy Kreme. Never really cared for Dunkin'.

Generally after I have read a joke or watch a show 5-6 times the joke is not as funny. But there are a few Simpsons (this, Homer building a grill) that are still funny after many repeated viewings.

Re: Dunkin Doughnuts
We finally managed to hit up Local Lion on Labor Day. We had been wanting to get there for quite some time, but unfortunately they're closed on Sundays. It was awesome; much better than either DD or KK.

I would encourage all of you to give your business to Local Lion. It's owned and operated by two fellow Mountaineers, and their made from scratch cake doughnuts are delicious.
If coffee is not your style, they have plenty of local beer on tap and bottled. (Your move, Dunkin' Donuts).

That was my exact reaction! Never thought about that combo.

Old TCBY location. Beside the Kangaroo. I'm not as in love with LL as others appear. They have a hard time staffing a morning rush and seem to be out of coffee a lot.

As a small business owner I appreciate your comment about supporting fellow App alums. However, must point out that many franchises are locally owned versions of national chains. Have no idea about the DD's coming into Boone....if owned by carpetbaggers, to hell with them!SayYesToTheRock wrote:I would encourage all of you to give your business to Local Lion.
