Oh and the ordinance is ridiculous. I lived literally 12 steps from saloons front door last semester (i counted the steps) and had zero problems with noise coming from live music. The previous year i lived half a block from murphy's and never was bothered by loud music late at night. All this is, is an attempt from the older crowd in boone to reign in "reckless college students." I think its about time for people in Boone to realize that its a COLLEGE TOWN. Hell, students outnumber non-students now, or its at least a very close call. Putting the burden on "downtown", if thats what you want to call it, is only limiting what Boone and Appalachian can be. Kids want a vibrant nightlife, which honestly boone still lacks compared to schools around the state. Progress is being made with a couple new/rebranded places but there is still major work to be done in downtown. Here's an outrageous idea, if you dont like the noise you hear from downtown....move from the downtown area.

Is NewApp and JCline the same person? NewApp keeps givng JCline a rep point and only JCline.

In the last month, NewApp has given Cline 38 positive reps, all in bunches. It's almost like he's viewing all his posts and hitting them in succession. For instance, the last 6 reps Cline received were all granted by NewApp, 4 of them in a 15 minute window, the remaining 2 in a 0 minute window.

Nothing like validating yourself to prove you're cool.

Just reread the thread. I forgot about this classic moment when we realized Cline created a second account to rep himself, and then to completely rebrand.
