When i started at App the restaurant occupying the space where the Red Onion resides today was a pizza place. The worst pizza I've ever had at a restaurant.

Red Onion was a nice upgrade. It is sad to see it go. Loved the food, especially the fried zucchini strips appetizer. Also, it's where I met my wife 38 years ago..the worst waitress to ever serve me. Still a horrible waitress (at least waiting on me)but a hell of a good cook, mother and partner. We will miss dropping in for a stroll down memory.lane.

Not a chain fan, but wouldn't hate a Texas Roadhouse (instead of a Longhorn). Sagebrush was garbage but looked better on the corner than a Discount Tire will. Are there any plans for the old Willie Brooks, or Boonies? I mean there can only be so many car washes and auto parts places.

Chanelo's was over on Faculty street behind where the Hardee's was and in the same shopping center as Footsloggers before it moved downtown. I lived over it and worked there. It was far from the worst pizza ever as someone else mentioned.
My bedroom was over their ovens and I never turned the heat on. Was somewhat toasty in summer though.

Surprised that it took RO to close down. The owners moved to San Diego a year or two ago.
Did someone buy the RO for living spaces?

Wonder why the owners moved to California, it is always on the cutting edge of doing things the wrong way i understand.

Was it Pizza Man Pizza that ran around delivering pizzas in orange VW Bugs? It was nickel, dime pizza. You could go through the hall picking up loose change and order a pizza.

Everyone here who used rolled coins to pay for food, beverages or other items while in college, raise your hand.
