Finally found it at Lowe's Foods in Wilkesboro...a four-pack of pint (16 oz.) cans is $11.99. I'm fine with it as long as the university receives a fair percentage of wholesale sales.

I bought a four pack a few weeks ago. Love the can, the beer not so much. Too hoppy for a lager imo. In any event I will drink it and appreciate AMB for making it happen.

It’s not a lager, but I can see why it wouldn’t have been a bad thing for it to have been. Super accessible and easy to drink.

But I think a golden ale was a good choice. It’s supposed to be a “bridge beer” style, bringing people who usually drink Miller Lite, etc. a step in the craft beer direction. More often it’s too much in middle, not satisfying anyone. I think this one does a good job of striking a balance. And I think a place like App and Boone wouldn’t be well represented by a Bud clone.
