The vast majority of people on this message board are older alums. According to the first page of the survey, it is intended to get the student body's view on the subject. Perhaps this message board isn't the best place to accomplish that goal. Unless of course you want an unreliable and skewed survey.

Well one thing I know is the fraternities don't like to be called "frats"

Seems like an extremely biased survey. Can't imagine your results are going to do anything but support your already biased perspective.

I was a GDI, and I can see the bias.

Basically someone somewhere thinks traditional "all white" frats and sororities should be shamed yet the black frats/sororities can stay 100% black and nobody should say anything about it.

Personally, I was never in a frat and didn't want to be but each should be ran autonomously without any interference. I will be glad the day white liberal guilt is dead. Spend a day in a third world country and you will be GREATLY PLEASED that you're an American.

I was at App when the show was so controversial given how Bart was so disrespectful to adults. Soon after the writers realized there was gold in Homer antics.

There are people out there that I have taught that have had time to get a high school diploma, Bachelor's, Masters, and if they desired a Doctorate level degree and have never known a time with the Simpsons was not on first-run TV.

Now I feel old. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV0wTtiJygY

The survey is too narrow. It should include all clubs.
I doubt anyone outside of a Greek organization knows what the philosophies of a organization are.
Are the surveyors aware of the contributions of Greek Alumni both financial and professionally?
Ask what keeps you from joining a Greek organization? Money? No interest? negative perception ?
Would you be in favor of designated housing for Greek organizations.
Ask a question about diversity recruitment by thr University?

The person or persons who wrote the survey don't see the bias in themselves.... kind of funny.... and they will use this survey to change something in the University..... WATCH 8-)

This survey is way too biased to produce reliable data. You've worded the survey questions in a way that will only confirm your bias.

What a terribly biased survey.

This would never receive a passing grade in Dr. Hur's Research Methods class in Anne Belk hall.

Geez. Give the kid a break. After reading the comments, I expected this crazy biased survey. The survey itself is not perfect, but it is not as biased and uninformed as the comments suggest. Actually, the comments reveal the bias and misplaced preconceived notions of the posters (but they don't see their own bias). Comparing white and black frats? Ignorant. White frats have a history of excluding minorities and engaging in racist behavior (e.g., wearing black face at parties, famous chants about hanging blacks that went viral a couple of years ago). And suggesting that a survey that asks about a legit issue reveals a bias? Nonsense. It's not a bias or preconceived notion that frats have a problem with diversity. That's a fact. Frats do good things, but racisms and sexism are issues. And to frats credit, they have acknowledged and are working to do better. It's not a secret that frats historically get in trouble for racist and sexist actions. On a recent move in day at AppSt, one frat on campus had a big sign that told parents to drop off their daughters at their house. The survey is not as biased or baseless as some of the comments themselves. As someone suggested, this crowd is likely not the appropriate audience for an informed sample.

Most of the surveys I've taken recently are designed to elicit a response the survey creator wants / expects to receive. Scientific research does generally start with a certain hypothesis. Likewise, surveys often start with an expected end. This one is no different. Take the survey. The data will either support the hypothesis or not.
