Sad to pass this along.
According to Julia Adams' Facebook page, Gerald Adams has 2 stage 4 inoperable brain tumors. Currently in palliative care in Jacksonville, FL and hoping to get him back to Boone. Keep Mr. Yosef and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Certainly one of the best ambassadors our Appalachian Family and the Yosef club has ever had, if not the best. Had the pleasure of becoming friends with his daughter, Ann, and at that time, husband to be Scott while a student at ASU. Prayers are certainly being sent for this great man and family.

This is every senior's worst nightmare as they head into their Golden Years. Wishing God's Peace and Godspeed to Gerald and Julia. There are simply no finer ambassadors for Appalachian in our big Alumni Family.

Gerald and Julia are both on my version of App State's Mount Rushmoore. They are two of the finest people I have ever met.

Sad day for Mountaineers everywhere. Gerald gave as much if not more to this school as anyone.
