This is yet another example of why App State people are great and why we all have Love for the place! So proud to read this and so proud of those representatives who took part. Similar thing happened in my family a few years back but was HS grad. I know they do not know how much this means to the young lady's family, but it means the world i can assure you. If any of you know Mr. Mayfield or Mr. Meador, please give them thanks!

I've got some allergy issues, apparently. My eyes keep watering.

It won't be much but I am going to put a small check in the mail and let it be known it can help towards paying for travel from Boone to Charlotte or some other use around this situation.

So proud to have Appalachian State University on my diploma.

Dr. Mayfield was my Geography and Quantitative Methods teacher at App. He was a cool guy and I enjoyed being in his classes.

Best lecturer I had at App. Dirts, rocks, and trees!

I finally got around to sending a check to App to help defray the cost of this trip. It was not much and more symbolic than anything, but I wanted the Provost and the Dept Chair to know I appreciate what they did.

One could read a lot of Mountaineer pride in the emails they both sent me.
