Wilson Scholarships Awarded to App Students

Im one of the folk who screens applications for the Wilson Scholars. Glad and honored to do so.

There was a young lady from my son's high school here in SW Va. who was a finalist for the Wilson scholarship. She was not one of the recipients, but App did offer her another scholarship. She was also accepted to UVa. and VaTech and offered some scholarship money to both. Her father told me over the weekend that after many sleepless nights, and a lot of praying, she has chosen to attend App.

That made me very happy. She will be an excellent representative of our school.

I do, too. We've got some impressive students vying for the Wilson Scholars program. The hours spent reviewing resumes and reading essays are very enjoyable work.

I second that. Very impressive group of students our fine University is attracting.
