That’s why the hospital purchased a large tract of land with the old barn that is across the street from CVS.
I think the current goal is to build an entirely new hospital on that land and use the existing hospital as either a nursing home or outpatient facility

You can bet Chapel Hill and EZU will get more than their fair share of this. At least they usually do.
The $79 million building was partially financed by $70 million from the Connect NC Bond package and, according to Hayes, "will be the first UNC system building funded by that bond package to be completed."
