Hope the new brand keeps its prices reasonable, and the Sunday Jazz Brunch with Todd Wright.

Bring back Holly’s Taven in that spot! Friday happy hour in the early 80’s there was awesome.

Was Holly's the grocery store with the pitchers of beer and cheap hotdogs? We used to sit out there and drink pitchers and watch the high flying airplanes cross over.

Fellas and ladies, spring didn’t officially begin at App till that first awesome March/April day when the temps were warm, the dimpled pitchers of beer were cold and I gave myself permission to miss any and all afternoon classes to catch that Holly’s sunset!!!!! Awesome memories indeed!!

I have a ton of great memories of Thursday or Friday afternoons at Hollys. Then again, there are tons of times that I don't exactly remember times I was at Hollys as well. ;)

Remember that skeet shooting video game they had, on the wall? And, those steps (up/down) were steep as hell.

Canyon's was always THE PLACE to be on Thursday night's since it was Karaoke night with Local Vocals. Especially over '07 - '08. Good times.

I grew up in Lenoir and this was the place to go (not Canyons, but Emporium and the restaurants before), mainly because of the views and I felt like I was on top of the world (part of the reason I went to App). Loved the location and feel as if it's a perfect spot for a great watering hole and occasionally, food ;)

However (and I might be in the minority here), when it changed over to Canyons, I thought the food wasn't as great as it used to be. I think there are better choices for some great lunch and dinner, and hope the new ownership sees this as well. What are your thoughts?

Nothing better on a Spring, Friday afternoon than a Holly's dog and a few ice cold beers while watching the Sun go down. One of my favorite memories from my college days.

Great place and great memories back to Holly's days. Hope the new ownership does not get too foo foo or ruin the menu....but on the topic of renovations, the place really needs to be gutted and rebuilt. That building is nearly falling apart. They need to build back with at least two levels/stories especially with that location.

Blowing Rock is frightening these days. Bistro/Antlers has already become the McDonald's for folks who wouldn't understand the word "you'ns" to save their own mutual funds.
