How can you measure missing the recruiting class when you have no idea who could replace Fox? He has done a great job cleaning up behind a "coach" that should have never been hired to begin with, but that reason alone doesn't warrant an extension. Read past game threads and you will see most conversation is about Fox decision making, and inability to know what to do at the end of a game. I witnessed live that mess of a JMU game, and that has not been the only one. Let him finish out his current contract then evaluate and weigh out options would be a reasonable compromise, but to give an extension is too much IMO.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 8:07 amFor the recruiting class we will miss and the fact we are making progress albiet slow but we are crawling out of the hole left by Capel

A good AD keeps a list of potential hires for most sports, the necessity of a Fox extension past a year is overblown.

Will be nice to center this back on DG and his extension, given that's what the thread was started for. We have many Coach Fox threads already on the board. Feel free to use one of them to speculate to your hearts content. But given the decision was DG's then I trust in him.T-Dog wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 1:08 pmContract details.

Gillin is flat out knocking it out of the park. We cannot say enough good things about him. Under DG we have an avg P5 attendance at The Rock of 34,892. Not too shabby.

You know these phones. Never can tell when autocorrect jumps in and when it doesn't need to.
Anyway...we are lucky to have DG and I hope he stays for a long while to come. Really building something here.

I was sold on DG when he almost instantly replied to my email about various athletic items. His accomplishments are also very admirable, but his desire to get out and see what fans want is amazing. We are all the people that matter in DG eyes
