I am currently on the D.C. alumni group, but wanted to switch to Southwest VA chapter. How should I go about switching over? Just sign up for the Southwest VA chapter and then tell D.C. I have moved?

I believe that that would be the correct procedure, but I will get confirmation and then send you a PM. Thanks.

I donated as I do every year, but the marketing for the event this year seemed to be way less. I didn't even know it was today until this post. Granted, I haven't been as active on social media lately due to work and life, at least an email should have gone out. If an email did go out, I likely didn't receive it because their systems keep reverting me back to me old student email. I have changed it in GoldBook, yosef club, athletics, etc. and it keeps reverting back. They need to get that fixed if they want to get more donors.

if a single donation is made in a husband and wife’s name (since the form asks for spouses name also), does that count as 2 alumni participation’s or 1?

I made mine.

And all three mountaineer children have as well in addition to my future mountaineer number 4.

200 donors short of the goal.

This string of beating prior year tally and the goal may be broken unless a lot more folks step up.

There is, but the name is deceiving. It is based in Roanoke, which is absolutely not SW Va.

Which is why they ask for the spouse/partner name so they can count it. I asked this directly over the phone a few years ago (maybe before donations were via mail and not internet) as I was going to do two donations, one for me and one for my wife. Counting them together saves everyone some time/effort in processing all the paperwork and puncing in credit card numbers if online, or cashing two checks in done via mail/with a check.

Yeah...276 area code is SW Virginia in my opinion. I just noticed on the map included with the link that there is a Roanoke chapter. D.C. is closer to me, but I always look for opportunities to travel to the noke

And as the resident Yosef railfan I must point out you can now take Amtrak to Roanoke (RNK). I think they have 3 or 4 trains a day as part of the Northeast Corrider which make rides to DC and NYC and Boston easy.

Yep, no longer have travel to Lynchburg to make the trek to DC.
