Boone 28607 Mudslide, 2 Missing

Unread post by NoLongerLurking » Wed May 30, 2018 7:22 pm

App Nation... We need to be praying for my "neighbors" (1 mile away) who are apparently missing after a mudslide in the Bamboo area. This is scary stuff.

Praying for the victims of the flooding and mudslides. Praying for several days of clear and dry weather for the High Country.

Dave Malkoff with the Weather Channel is reporting live from down in Marion this morning, and he's reporting 2 fatalities in the mud slide/explosion last night in Boone.
“When you take that field today, you've got to lay that heart on the line, men. From the souls of your feet, with every ounce of blood you've got in your body, lay it on the line until the final whistle blows.”

Needless to say it's been a very busy time, for a couple of weeks now. Round after round. Yesterday was one of those days you train for, hope it doesn't come but know it will. We're all looking forward to some drier days.
