App (69%)above system average (62%). 5th overall after UNC-CHeat, NCSU, UNCSA, UNCW

UNCC in 9th (54%)

It is great that we are #5 of 16 but we have a long way to go to be #1.
UNC-CH @ 88%
NC State @ 77%
App @ 69%

I am not sure where we were 5, 10, 20 yrs ago but I suspect we have made significant progress over that time. I know this has been a priority for App for many years. Anybody know what the post freshman drop out rate is for App? I know that has always been the largest problem area.

Our current freshman to sophomore year retention rate is 89%. That ranks 20% above the national average.
If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you.

Top three is within reach, as long as we do it the right way. I would rather have this situation and honest classes with honest grades (by today's standards where all have grade inflation.) than to have a situation where the App diploma does not mean anything but we have higher numbers.
