Is anyone in the know aware of news coming down the pipe? You don’t have to say it but is there actually something to look forward to, or is this guy just blowing smoke?

I don't know of anything myself, but I can tell you without any doubt that Chuck (asu66) does not just blow smoke.

For sure, no way.
1. The only way we would have is during these up coming weeks by moving the Ark State game around. and obviously that's not gonna happen.
2. AppState is way too invested in making the Sun Belt championship right now.

With regards to scheduling an extra game, it would have to be contingent upon either team (App or opponent) not making their respective conference championship. As for actually scheduling an extra game for Dec. 1st, I believe it's good business to have a fall back plan if App fails to make the Sun Belt Championship.

But not very good business for the other school to schedule a make-up game against a team that will probably wind up canceling.

I was only speaking in terms of App as I don't really care about any other program's business. There is still a lot of season to be played and a number of variables that go into making the championship. I like what I've seen so far and the expectation is a championship run, however a few key injuries can change App's trajectory.

Whether an additional OOC game even happens, IMO there should be behind the scene discussions as a back-up and I have full faith that DG has a plan.

I think it would be a smart move to schedule something, but I don't see anyone agreeing. If we nail something down, we either play for the SB championship or possibly play a regional P5 on 12/1. Win win for App. If VT or UNC schedule us and we play for the SB, they are Christmas shopping on 12/1. I don't see anyone out there willing to first, play App, second agree to play App with the likelihood that game will be cancelled.

It's got to be a future H&H.

Tech lost a home game like we did and in light of the ODU loss they aren't likely interested in coming to Boone.

That date (1Dec18) conflicts with the first annual Sunbelt Conference Football Championship game date. Hopefully being played in beautiful Boone, NC.

This is the Mandela effect at work clearly because we've never played VT. A potential game with them would be interesting though since we've never met on the field.

What are you talking about? We have played VT before. We traveled to Blacksburg, VA in September 1979 and played VT in a close game but ultimately came up short 32-41.
