ASU closed financially on the West Campus project on Thursday.

Today, all the Duck Pond Field trees were cut down and it was being prepped for fencing.
Good job on article Thomas!
Do you know names of dorms to be torn down in the order it will be done?

I remember crossing duck pond field with a Pepsi and acting like I was being sneaky with it to lure the a-hole campus security. They came and grabbed it out of my hands to smell for alcohol, of which it had none. They were not too happy.

No green space left.

Maybe we should consider establishing a Sustainability Office to help with issues like this. ;) ;)

Only temporarily. There will be green areas once all the construction has been completed.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

It looks like the green space is being moved from the center to the edges. I am not sure if the net will be an increase or decrease given what I have read. It is nice to have some larger areas near dorms.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

I would think there'd be space at the old Watauga High School property for this type of thing. I've heard the phrase "mixed use" with locker room facilities, etc. It's a nice addition to the campus.

Technically, that is RIP Upper Duck Pond Field. Lower Duck Pond Field went away when the Trivette was built spring of '90.
