Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
You get your wish this season...
DG was with PB on App State Athletics Facebook Live today and said we will not have an inflatable helmet at the bottom of the ramp for the home opener against ETSU. We will also have a new opening video for the team to enter the field. He mentioned Alumni will form a human tunnel for the players and coaches to run onto the field.

I don’t think it’s just the helmet I think we didn’t away with the tunnel as well. That’s at least what I took from his comments. The team is gonna just stand at the end of the ramp then run out.... sounds kinda middle schoolish to me but we shall see.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 9:50 amYou get your wish this season...

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
I have from a reliable source that the Helmet and tunnel are in a dumpster behind the athletics facility. So you are correct, we will just be coming down the ramp. However, we have added a new "smoke" machine similar to the likes that the Panthers use in their pregame introductions. It pretty much shoots smoke/fog instead of it just seeping out like the old fog machines. It should look much better than the high school helmet. I mean come on people, Clemson's intro is legendary and all they do is fondle a rock and jog down a steep hill....it's not that big of a deal.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
I can understand if the team locker room is going to be in the new building, why spend money on new helmet/tunnel/whatever for what is going to be a very short term entrance? Save it for the building or new locker room.

Looks like after 2 days of work on the NEZ project, they had to take a day off for Labor Day. Tough.

That is one wing of an open triangle dorm. That structure will be pretty impressive in design once finished. So will the yet to be started third dorm that will cover what was the stadium lot. It will be incredible when completed!

The foreman's/supervisor's office? The small building resembling a trailer?

No, it's a two or three story (or more) frame building.

Re: Appstate Endzone Camera
And they've been working through the weekend. Cranes are in the air and steel beams are moving today, on a Sunday...it's fantastic! I'm finding myself looking at the cam every half hour or so and find a new piece of the puzzle rising. Good stuff
