One of the greats dies at age 85 after years of recovering from a stroke in 2014. Yes I watched the Ice Bowl.

Yes my favorite pro team of all time those Packers were - I could come close to naming all starters - offense and defense -even today - favorite was Jim Taylor - Starr was great and is sometimes totally forgotten by the "experts" of today - I watched the Ice Bowl as well ---

If you weren’t around in the 60s it’s difficult to understand the Lombardi mystique. But it pervaded the game , sport itself really , and Bart Starr was a big part of it. May he Rest In Peace.

I'm a BALTIMORE Colt fan from way back but Bart Starr was a very good QB and a class act. He and Unitas had many epic games, usually for a NFL championship on the line. RIP Packers #15.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I've been a Packers fan all my life because of Bart Starr. It's important to note that my fandom predates the expansion of 1966 - 1968. The Redskins were the "local" team if you lived in most of the southeast, but the Packers have always been my team.

Starr was a class act and a true southern gentleman. They don't make them like that anymore. Go rest high on that mountain. Son, your work on earth is done. #RollTide #GoPackGo
