Dorm Names

The two dorms currently under construction will be called Thunder Hill Hall and Raven Rocks Hall after popular Parkway overlooks. The two yet to be built will be called Laurel Creek Hall and New River Hall after popular waterways in the area.

I kinda like it that they're not naming them after people.

I am sure that once a large enough donation is made to the school, each will have their name changed to reflect that of the donor.

Maybe, but I don't think that's as likely since these are PPP buildings and not university buildings.

Back in my high school days, about a hundred years ago, Raven Rocks Overlook was one of our party spots. :)

Need to have them as old bar names, that would sound better to go back after class to Rafters or Geno's.

That is a good point that I hadn't considered. Hopefully you are right. I agree the dorm names sound much better than being named after some person.

Maybe old Blowing Rock beer stores? How about Bougin's Hall or Cork and Ale Hall?
