How about Holley Hall (after the Tavern)? We scheduled Friday classes such that they would be done early enough to make it to Holley’s early enough to get a seat at the long tables.

Holy crap...haven't heard that name in very long time. Had my first beer in Blowing Rock there, freshman year. Coldest brew I ever had! Great name for a dorm!!!

Need to have them as old bar names, that would sound better to go back after class to Rafters or Geno's.
Ok boomer ;)

How about Klondike or Parthenon Hall?
42 is boomer now? You crazy kids.

I didn't go to the frat hang outs so I stayed away from the Klondike.
Only place I was ever asked if I was an “independent”.

I was always partial to Boone Saloon or Murphy’s myself.

Whenever Pink Floyd's tune Money played on the jukebox, Skeen (the bartender) used to open and close the cash register (old type register) and kept in sync with the tune. The Red Dog Saloon wasn't the most sophisticated establishment, however, if you just wanted an ice cold brew and to listen to some good tunes (not that disco crap) that was the place.

Unpopular opinion: I like the dorms being named after people. Gives a bit of history of the person/school and shows a nice "thank you" to the person.

And I lived in App Heights and Mountaineer Hall... so yeah

The Hill Top, back in the day, had the best banana split this side of the Mississippi!

Advantage of not naming after people is that they won't have to be renamed when something inappropriate or politically incorrect in that person's history comes to the surface in 50 years.

Back in my high school days, about a hundred years ago, Raven Rocks Overlook was one of our party spots. :)
I proposed to my wife there.
Clothed?
To start with.
