I get all the uncg stuff. Uncle is not closing but going online where practical. Labs are still happening for one. I could write more but I am on an iPad and hate the typing.

The subject of this thread is misleading. The appstate.edu web site makes the claim that "The Appalachian State University campus is currently operating under NORMAL conditions." That's pretty misleading, also!

It's complicated, but it's all spelled out here...

Also, residence hall students, which I believe is like 40 percent of the student body, are being asked to stay away from campus, so Boone will be deserted next week.

Sounds like next week is the week to have an ole Boone town throw down. My favorite weekends in Boone are non holidays when school is out. Empty Pool tables for days and drinks are fast.

Semantics I suppose:

The "operating under normal conditions" is very misleading, especially since weather related closings and delays are under the "special conditions" category.
