This is a joke right? You guys are not really upset about this right? I would venture to guess a good portion of those on this board and those who have attended our fine University grew up rooting for one of the in state powers. I know for a fact a good portion of y'all root for another school from time to time (especially during basketball season). Luke Combs is Black and Gold and it's not a question. He goes out of his way to show love to our school, hell he said the first stadium he will play WILL BE KIDD BREWER! Some on here need to cool it; and if this doesn't apply to you then I'm not talking about you.

I have no problem with Luke being a Carolina fan especially vs Duke. Many of us grew up liking other teams before attending App and sometimes those feelings don’t go away. Also, nothing wrong with having a dog in fight of one of sports great rivalries, especially when asked about it. Give Luke a break. None of us no for sure the context of the question and answer. For that matter, Church needs a break too. Just because he did a video for UNC doesn’t mean he chooses them over App. He might have just done it for a current neighbor in Mack Brown and his childhood team before even knowing it would air in a matchup with the University he attended. Don’t forget, Mack was a good ambassador and fund raiser for the Black and Gold. I too grew up a fan of the Heels, but was in Chapel Hill this past season pulling as hard as anybody for the Mountaineers as a proud Alum. Go Apps!

Come on, Folks. I've heard Luke talk up App State in just about every interview I've ever seen him do. He supports the Apps openly and generously. There's nothing wrong with having an ACC team you pull for when they aren't playing App...even...gag....UNC. Nobody's perfect.

He and his buddies liked to try and start an Eric Church sucks chant every time Luke Combs popped up on the video board. I personally could care less who people root for. I root for several teams for different reasons, but my love and financial support are only for the Black and Gold.

Luke has always represented App state from shirts and hats in his videos to signs in the background to a dang song about cheering on his mountaineers.

No problem whatsoever with that interview. The guy reps us very well. My wife's a proud Carolina alum, and comes to Boone (a lot more than we make it to CH) wearing Black and Gold... When we do make it to Chapel Hill, I'm wearing Carolina Blue (except when we're playing them)... Much more to be concerned with right now. Like the Luke Combs concert not being held tomorrow, on what is going to be one of the most beautiful May days in Boone you could ask for!!! We were supposed to be taking a lot of my daughter's HS soccer team (12 tickets)!

I hate UNC. I hate UNC fans in general, but even this doesn’t bother me. He may pull for UNC basketball, but he does a LOT for App and putting our name out there. Plus, take a look at this;



I have hard feelings towards Eric church for virtually ignoring App and endorsing all things UNC, but Luke hasn’t forgotten where he came from.
