Interesting read, especially if you grew up in the Triangle in late 70's and 80's. I did and I was unaware of the connection. Oddly enough, I now live 7 minutes down the road from this very spot

I’ve wondered what the naming rights deal was worth Financially to change the name from Conrad Stadium to Kidd Brewer Stadium? And is it in perpetuity?

My wife’s Father was Chief Engineer of Raleigh when things were beginning for Crabtree Mall. Many times he cautioned that building the mall there was a recipe for a flood. Knowing development down stream and what was being planned for the mall. Now it’s a common place for evening news reporters to stand after heavy rains and report on flooding at Crabtree Valley.
