If we get our act together and run the table....Marshall controls the NY6. AAC are going to beat up on each other. Marshall needs to keep winning like they are winning and we need to "walk the dog" on the sunbelt and they will be in.

Ah, ok. Didn't know how independents played in. Well, Marshall certainly has a shot. With how they've looked they should walk through the rest of C-USA but...we'll see. App should have walked over GSU last year and we all know how that went...

Right now, the Herd only have 8 games scheduled, plus a potential conference championship.

Florida Atlantic (67) and La. Tech (90) are the only two teams remaining on their schedule ranked in the Top 100 in the Sagarin Ratings.

The schedule is going to work against them.

Speaking of throwing up, I heard one of the announcers (don't remember which) Saturday saying how Marshall held our offense to only 7 points.

yes, I heard that also... one positive about the way it was said however was that he qualified it as being noteworthy because they “held a ranked Appalachian State to just 7 points”. At least we are now viewed as a quality win nationally.

And, you know the offense heard that comment too, should serve to light a fire under their arse.

They looked pretty good , better than Louisville, against WKU. I think they could give Liberty a run.

Marshall just isn't that good, there is now way I believe that they can run the table. Hell, Charlotte and a FCS school scored more on us than Marshall did. They aren't any good. They beat us because we were that much worse that day. We have a tendency as App fans to build up every team that beats us and think they must be really good. Sometimes it is justified, it is not with Marshall. The beat us be they aren't any good.

Can't speak for all App fans but I don't build up every team that beats us. The reason losses like UMass/ULM in '17 and GS last year hurt so much is precisely because those teams clearly weren't good.

Some of you guys need to get over the "Tarhole excuse" of nobody ever beats us - "we beat ourselves" - and with the holes "The refs cheated", etc. - Marshall beat us and their defense held us in check more than anyone in recent memory - Give them credit ---
Hell, Mack Brown, who I know did a lot for APP when he was out of coaching, couldn't come out and say that APP beat them - they blew their chances, bad bounces - whatever ---

I come from a different place than most all of you where Marshall is concerned so I don't understand the hate some of you have for them?

How many of our peer schools have had a running back leave early for the pros and had a potential pro wideout sit the season out? No excuses but insert Evans and Sutton into the lineup that day and we just might have done a little more damage.

Marshall fans in the 90s make GS fans look like angels. Talk to any player from that era.

Marshall is the best CUSA team I’ve seen play this year, but they aren’t NY6 good.

ULL or Cincy appear to be in the driver seat.
