If Hickory can't find the money to keep this going, now that federal money is getting yanked, how will this affect our teams travel if we bump up? I know we have flown out of there a few times so will we have to go to Johnson city? May be wishful thinking but does out school have a plane? I don't think it does but then again I'm just not sure. If not then are we going to have to pay extra to get chartered planes to fly out of Johnson city to places that airport doesn't normally fly out of? Are all teams considering riding on buses from Boone to Texas if we move up? If these airport closings keep knocking out the smaller strips we may end up having to drive 2 hours to CLT then flying out from there only adding to our travel costs.

"Sen. Jerry Moran" What a great name for a politician....

Not having a tower doesn't stop planes from using it, it's just not controlled. Pilot's just control their own traffic.
