One of my sons just got his acceptance response email about an hour ago! Appiness abounds!

All three of my daughters were accepted and the oldest graduated from App. My twins were presenting themselves as very competitive students which opens doors for scholarship dollars that App just does not have the Foundation dollars to match.
I agree and admit that I should be donating more to the general fund as well. My two daughters went to UNC and NCSU so I'm a Mountaineer father failure it seems. My son likes App but other schools have much stronger programs for his planned field.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:05 amAll three of my daughters were accepted and the oldest graduated from App. My twins were presenting themselves as very competitive students which opens doors for scholarship dollars that App just does not have the Foundation dollars to match.
It is one reason I mention 3 or 4 times a year on this board the importance of giving to the general Appalachian Fund as well as supporting athletics.
One of the twins is getting a MSW and could go to App but the program is not strong for what she wants and I can respect that. She does want to go to a school that has a one year program AND has football. She opted for Meredith for the travel offered AND the $. It is hard to argue any of that. The youngest is attending a small liberal arts college that is just north of Charlotte. It is also very prestigious on the academic side. With the $ she got I have no hard feelings about that choice either.Rick83 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 9:29 amI agree and admit that I should be donating more to the general fund as well.
