Justice Hall BRICK
Justice Hall BRICK
While Justice Hall was being torn down I went to see it one last time. I also was hoping to get a couple bricks if possible while there. I managed to get 3 of them. 1 for me, 1 for my ex roommate and an extra one in case one broke. Well, the "extra" one is just sitting around and I don't think I'll ever have a reason to use it.
Therefore, I'm willing to let it go. I'll let it go to the highest bidder. I have a reserve on it only because if there is only one person bidding I won't let it go for just a $1. I'd just keep it for that. I'd also be willing to ship it if you'd like (plus shipping cost) but there is no way I'd want it shipped because of the way the postal service throws around packages these days but if that is your only way to get it I understand completely. I'd just make sure it was insured.
I can meet in the Gastonia area and/or the Boone area. I could meet you in those areas if that is your perferred method of exchange.
I'm really hesitant in selling this. I don't need the "money" so to speak from only selling one brick. I just thought I'd share it to someone who loved staying in Justice Hall like I did and would want a piece of history from it.
I'll accept bids until Wednesday, March 3rd until 10:00 pm.
PM me if you are interested or have any "private" questions about it.

Request: How 'bout posting a pic of the brick you're putting on the auction block?AppGrad1 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 11:38 amWhile Justice Hall was being torn down I went to see it one last time. Re: Justice Hall BRICK
Well, as often happens, my lengthy post from this morning in this thread disappeared. C'est la vie. Could have been something the mods didn't like or just a glitch in my computer. At any rate, hopefully this little project will make an App some money or else just be a touch of nostalgia for those who had positive Justice Hall memories. Win-win either way.

I would have spent a few bones on that wall carpet in Justice, just so I could donate it to the appropriate scientific institution.

Definitely one of a kind collectible. I never lived in Justice but if I had, I'd jump in on this action.
BTW, those granite countertops and cabinets are sick, bro.

Thanks! Wife and I just recently had it put in.
I showed the wife your post. She smiled.

I lived there 2 of my four years. Not really interested in one of the bricks but if you come across one of those sweet a$$ radiators that you could cook a grilled cheese sandwich on, I'll pay top dollar. Good luck on the auction.

I also said "or a glitch in my computer." Meant nothing nefarious at all. Not a cheap shot of any kind.

Re: Justice Hall BRICK
If people thinks this then don't bid on it.
I really didn't want to do it anyway. Just thought I'd share something I thought was decently nice.
Only reason I'm bidding it out is I drove to Boone to do this. When I got there it started lightening and raining. I got pretty wet going through some of them. If someone would have offered me this without me taking a day to do it I'd jumped on it if the price was right.
Think I'm going to get rich selling 1 brick?? Lol
Now, if I was selling 40 of them them I'd be skeptical.
It won't take much for me to take it down, keep it and say nevermind. Just trying to do a decent thing.
Re: Justice Hall BRICK
Showed the wife the above post.
She agreed along with me that I should just take it down. Wasn't worth it. Didn't want people on here thinking AppGrad1 was trying to pull off a scam by selling 1 brick.
I don't post much anymore on here but if you see my post count you can tell I used to post all the time.
At this time the bidding is off. I'll just keep it as an extra.
Thanks anyway everyone!
Go App!
