You don't normally think about sushi when dining in Boone but Cobo is fantastic. Always packed.
Pedalin' Pig for BBQ and Peppers are always good.

CoBo is one of our all-time favorites. Went last night.

Lost Province, Los Arcoiris, Peddlin' Pig
Used to like Pepper's but last time I went the Jean Lawson was a soggy mess and the service bad.

Can't argue with any of the suggestions, but if you want to take a short ride across the state line. Suba’s will not disappoint. A true hidden gem in Mountain City.

You ain’t wrong. When we lived up there family members would drive up from the Triad so we could celebrate their birthday at Suba’s. LuAnne’s butterscotch pie is next level. My sister in law would order it for an appetizer.MAD Doctor wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 6:02 pmCan't argue with any of the suggestions, but if you want to take a short ride across the state line. Bistro Roca is mine and my wife’s favorite.
The kid’s like Mellow Mushroom and Peddalin’ Pig.
Is there any Thai food up there?

Looks like there are a couple places for Thai. Never tried any that I see. There was one down from The Local that I liked, not sure what happened to it.
Peppers, Black Cat, Makotos, and Cafe Port are our normals.

When people talk about Boone restaurants they always mention The Dan’l Boone Inn. Don’t know about hours procedures during the pandemic, but this place is classic.

If you are dining in Boone pregame with drinks at The Horton Hotel rooftop bar. Good appetizers too. You'll be glad you did.

Interesting that you say that, Blackshirt. Every time I mention it on here, I get laughed off. Something about canned vegetables. I like it because it is southern food. It is historic and it defines Boone. Just my opinion. Parking is a **tch and long lines, but still.....Blackshirt68 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 12:32 pmWhen people talk about Boone restaurants they always mention The Dan’l Boone Inn. If you can't take it, don't dish it out
