Happy July 4th

Unread post by Rekdiver » Sun Jul 04, 2021 7:28 am

One thing that doesn’t divide us is our love of this country. Best to all from 4,350’ looking at Grandfather from Ashe County on a sunny 50 degree morning. It’s great to be an American and a Mountaineer.

What a COOL place to be!

United we stand.
We can only imagine what it must have felt like in 1776 when the “colonialists” became Americans. I am ever thankful to them for all they did and blessed to be an American and by the grace of God a Mountaineer!

God bless the USA

I was on campus on this 4th,and saw Gardner dorm being demoed. The windows were gone,so much new construction going on.Yes I'm old,was there in the 70's.I have to go up there every month or so to keep up with all the New.It's good to keep things updated. At least Chapel Wilson is still there. What's next,Edwin Duncan?

Was able to get some history in at Antietam Creek and Gettysburg over the weekend since easily accessible since firm moved me up to Maryland. Once you get out of Montgomery County and up towards Frederick County... beautiful country. Learned much from the historical tours. Antietam Creek was the best historical battlefield tour I have taken over the years. Makes one thankful for all sacrifices made over the many years!!
