Dr. Pollock, Physics and Astronomy, RIP
Dr. Mamola posted on Facebook that Dr. Pollock passed away last night. I am sure some on YC would have had Dr. Pollock for Intro to Astronomy.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

I didn't have Dr. Pollock but I did have Dr. Mamola. Good teacher.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

I had classes with both of these gentleman. Learned more from my physics classes than anything else. Physics helped me with critical thinking skills. Critical thinking might just be the single most important skill you can obtain through a formal education. Thanks Dr. Pollock!!!
