I just read that Chris Rhodes (Appsolutely) has recently passed. Chris was a long time Mountaineer supporter and he used to post frequently on this board. RIP Chris.

His obit can be found in the Lexington Dispatch

Damn.

One more “Furman Sucks!” for Appsolutely.

That's a kick in the gut. He goes all the way back to the CNN/SI board.

Prayers for his family.

Damn…hadn’t seen him on here frequently in the past year or two, but I always lit up when he posted. He was the smart ass I aspire to one day become. RIP

Very sad to hear this about Chris. Always saw him at our Davidson basketball and baseball games. Great App fan and will be missed.

Chris and I first met on the CNN/SI board and over time learned we had a number of things in common, although several years separated us in age. Chris was from Lexington and I was from across the Yadkin River in Spencer. We both were connoisseurs of Lexington style BBQ; we were both proud survivors of Daisy Eggers, Ruby Akers and the App State English Department's English Language Written and Oral Competency Test (used to weed overly large freshmen classes at App in the 60s and 70s era). We were both folk and folk-rock music fans. His daughter and my son were peers at ASU. We both bled Black & Gold and we shared a tremendous disgust for Furple! We both developed heart disease at relatively young ages.

Chris, Rest In Peace.

Godspeed.
