Nashville

Unread post by Yosef » Tue Jun 11, 2013 11:42 am

New job has me moving back closer to God's country from Connecticut to Nashville. Anyone have any good intel on what the best suburbs to raise a family in are? Good schools and good people are a must. This will make it much easier to make it to more games

Used to work out of Brentwood and Franklin. Can't go wrong with those suburbs.

cant speak about schools, neighborhoods etc, but I was up there for a weekend last year, maybe the greatest, restaurant/bar seen in the SouthEast, great bars, walk in, get a beer, and listen to great young musicians trying to make a name for themselves, in fact, the music is so good, that alot of famous country singers show up to listen, just don't bother them, they get really pissed if you do. I was so impressed with Nashville, not just the restaurant/bars but the entire area, that I told my wife I would love to own a summer home there.

I know Mt. Juliet, TN is about 20 minutes east of Nashville and is a great place to raise a family. My uncle moved there from South Florida about 10 - 15 years ago so both my cousins went through the school system and had no problems at all! Mt. Juliet High School was selected by the S.C.O.R.E committee as the #1 "ACADEMIC SCHOOL” in the State of Tennessee last year. It is a slightly bigger town but has a small town feel, at least it seemed to me when I would visit there. There is many things to do in Mt. Juliet or head to Nashville to enjoy the entertainment

I second Brentwood and Franklin.

Both of those areas in general are wealthy areas.

Would recommend this area for certain.

Brentwood high school is 156 on this one.

Thanks for the help. Sounds like Williamson County is where we should focus our search. So happy to be back down where we can get sweet tea and more than one station plays country music.

Don't think finding a country music station is going to be a problem there

Lived in Nashville for 3 years. Have family there. Franklin is one of the best all around for schools and people. Brentwood is good too. I loved it, except for the winters... dark at when I left for work and dark when I got home. They are on the extreme east side of Central time zone...

Born and raised in Nashville/Brentwood, family moved to North Carolina when I was 14. Brentwood is a great place, but it is getting more and more crowded. Murfreesboro seems to be the new suburban growth area in town. If you're just looking for a quiet place to live, I would suggest Ashland City/Pleasant View. It is only about 15 miles outside of town up I-24 and it gets pretty rural about 3 miles off the interstate. I bet you could get a nice chunk of land and a nice house for pretty cheap up there. It all depends on what it is your looking for.

Brentwood/Franklin - established suburbs, great schools, lots to do.
Murfreesboro - growing suburban area, lots of new construction
Lebanon - little further out, just built a bunch of really nice, brand new schools
Ashland City/Pleasant View - quiet, probably cheaper housing costs
