App State fans’ bleep list

We started this topic on our show with Clemson and South Carolina and it went massive so I wanted to bring it here.
Rank the top 5 programs on all App fans’ CURRENT bleep list. Not all time, but current. Here’s what I came up with:
5. James Madison
4. Charlotte
3. UNC
2. Coastal Carolina
1. Georgia Southern
JMU’s come back in 2022, rapid success, arrogance of rejecting their first SBC invitation, and always trying to circumvent and petition the NCAA to get out of their transition requirements.
Charlotte, the smugness and always failing upward despite 0 success.
UNC might not think about us but we will always hate them.
Coastal for Grayson McCall, their stupid mullets, and ascending at exactly the right time to steal App’s media darling thunder.
GS hate runs so deep they will always and forever be #1 on our **** list.

Pretty good. I might exchange ECU for Charlotte. I’d just as soon not even consider Charlotte.

I am sure some/many in Charlotte area may say 49ers. It is ECU for me versus 49ers. I grew up in eastern NC and truly believe we are equal or better than them... however, they do not and still think the ACC will be calling them soon.

Agree plus I'd add Marshall.
Honestly, I live in the Triangle area and have never met anyone in person that claims to be a UNCC fan. Not kidding. They just aren't on my radar at all.

This is the correct list. UNCheat could be 1b with the Stink.
Charlotte has a ways to go. I always root for them to lose, but they are more like that annoying mosquito flying around.

This is it. As someone who lives in Charlotte it’s fun to beat uncc, but they aren’t on our level yet. These are the current 5. If uncc improves then they could get in due to their proximity to our tv market

I'm also thinking all sports. Charlotte is better than us at baseball and basketball. They do have a better all-sports profile than we do. Football not even close. But that's why I hate them so much. They act like they're destined for major conference membership and thus far - without any actual results to warrant it - they keep stepping up the ladder. Drives me nuts.

Agreed that Marshall would be #2 on my list, but I remember the 80's and early 90s.

They have a better basketball history sure, but we’re coming up on 20 years with no tourney for them and 50 for their magical final four run which was the only time they made it past the 2nd round.
I’d say our bball programs are equal.
I don’t pay enough attention to baseball to care. Same with the other sports, if they are doing better than us than that’s on Doug Gillen to fix.
They are climbing the ladder solely due to the amount of people that reside in their zip code, no other reason. If ga state was in cusa instead of the sun belt, they’d probably be aac now too.
Personally I think uncc, fau, unt et Al are going to do in the aac what they did tp cusa when they were invited but we’ll see.

At this current time, I have no hate towards ECU or Charlotte. We’ve blown them out each time and aren’t a threat currently. I hate Ga So so much that it almost gets old which is why they are 3rd. I cannot stand JMUs arrogance and fans at this moment. They are probably our biggest threat as well to longevity dominance in SBC.

I know you said current, so I will leave FU off the list but just so everyone knows---I still hate those purple FUers
1. Marshall -- so glad we are in the same conference again, just hate everything GREEN because of these jackwads
2. Stink-- need I say anymore
3. CCU-- still never won anything worth a damn in football
4. UNC-- just the arrogance, I could forgive it if they were ever any good but they haven't won a conference since 1980 so there's no forgiving
5. ULL-- honestly, before a few years ago they wouldn't have made the list but they have beaten us too many times now and taken our title as well
