Appalachian's Outdoor Classic
I can't find a forum about this on here:
We are playing an outdoor classic against UNCC. I just found out. This is awesome!

Back drop for this stadium is already top notch. Throw a hockey game in the mix and it's even better.

Re: Appalachian's Outdoor Classic
I looked into tickets for this a couple weeks back. Most of the seats are going to be terrible. The non-terrible seats were stupid expensive.
Great idea, terrible execution. I went to the Canes/Caps stadium series, it was awesome. But even sitting 1/2 way up the home sideline, basically at center ice, you could hardly follow the puck. Those outfield areas will be even worse.

Give 'em hell!

The hockey team would not need fundraising if their various jerseys were for sale.

They are. I bought one last year. I think it’s seasonal, though.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 8:31 pmThe hockey team would not need fundraising if their various jerseys were for sale.![]()

The game jerseys are sold out. They need to sell more frequently.AppinVA wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2023 8:40 pmThey are. I bought one last year. Re: Appalachian's Outdoor Classic
The pictures and clips I saw of this looked like it was a whole lot of fun. Any big donors out there want to build a small ice arena in Boone? I wish I could. Even at the non-D1 club level, I bet ice hockey on campus could be a hit.
There was a guy on my dorm floor who played club hockey in the 90s. We all wanted to go watch games but it was usually too inconvienent to drive to Charlotte or W-S or wherever it was they played.
