Civility Request/Challenge

I am sometimes guilty of a snarky reply or blasting some because of politics. I've decided to try to be more civil in my replies and posts and let personal stuff slide. How? i wont instantly respond anymore and let my thoughts percolate. Boards have become a place where negativity is frequent and we are not immune. I am hoping my App compatriots will join me in keeping the personal shots in your thoughts and not on the Message Board.

An while you are at it, one of my friends/fraternity brother and huge App supporter David Vaughn needs some prayers. He had a bad heart attack a week ago and is struggling after by-pass surgery last week.

I will be all in on this request. Its a lesson I have to learn over and over again but the last 4 or 5 months have been hard for me and the lesson I have learned again is that the one thing this world needs more of is kindness. That doesn’t mean we can’t disagree or debate. But we don’t have to do it as often and we can do it with kindness and a respect for our fellow man.

it does seem like it wasn't like this in year's past. Easy to remember....we're all Mountaineers.

Yeah the past few years have polarized us and social media made it easy to be mean. I’m just taking a step back after seeing negativity get hold of me. The Golden Rule is pretty simple.

No, a Lowe’s Exec. BUT I think he did volunteer with Cummings HS football for a couple of years.

As long as we don’t talk about this ice & cups or free throws, all will be well here.

Hell no. We have put them on pause as we are trying to get tied in with the TIGMA NIL. Unfortunately, that means that we have to make sure the Octagon is OSHA compliant.

I hope this can come to fruition. It’s nice to be a part of a passionate board, but there are times it gets out of hand and is no longer related to App and becomes personal. As MJohn mentioned, we will not always agree with what others say, but no reason to start taking personal shots. Debates are needed when conducted correctly.

No. It’s portable so that we can rent it out for parties.

Why rent a bouncy house & hire a clown for your kid’s birthday party? Renting the octagon sounds way better. Just Imagine your spouse’s delight when the octagon is set up out back in the front yard on your child’s special day.

For myself, I wanna rent it for a corporate team building event. 94, PM me so we can discuss specifics.
