If I'm reading the rules correctly, you even get help with the taxes, quoted below:

The prize for this Raffle is a Jeep Wrangler (the “Jeep”) valued at $84,495.53 and a $20,000.00 cash prize (the “Prize”).

Would you be taxed on the total value of $104k? So around $40k in taxes?

For that much I'd hope that they V8 swapped it. But doubt it and guess the details will come out later of what was done.

I'd pay the extra $20k and sell the jeep at a discount. My daughter would only be mad for a few years.

It was suspension and a few other things. I agree, would be nice with a hemi swap but doesn't have that.

But you are taxed on a profit/winning amount like the lottery, 40% I assumed.

Not even a winch

The Jeep comes complete with top-of-the-line upgrades that include heated front seats and steering wheel, App State "A" stitched headrests, hard-top headliner and a 12.3-inch touch screen display. RubiTrux has equipped this vehicle with premium suspension, fog lights, wheels and tires designed for rugged off-road and comfortable on-road use.

It is cool and I like this one better than the last one. Sadly if I won I'd have to sell it and would feel horrible for doing so.

Correct. Taxed on the value of the Jeep and the cash which is about $40k. I was factoring the $20k in cash to offset.

I entered. At the end of the day, you are better off if you win... whether you have to sell the jeep or not...if you win, you can have a party in Bloomington

Once again…I am late to the party.
Dumb question: has the raffle been held yet?

No. Will held during a week of a football game and winner announcement at the following home game. Will later in football season. Not sure when cut-off date to buy .will be when 4009 tickets sold or several weeks before drawing date.
