Fair, maybe I shouldn't have chose AppDaze as the example. I saw the pissing match and didn't read it fully so perhaps AppDaze is not the issue. But the post I quoted was in fact attacking Rek for Reks personal views.

But the fact remains -- personal attacks and aggression for difference of opinions is disgusting behavior. And I'm not even talking about just political views (as mentioned in my initial post).

And I am not coming to the defense of Rek. I literally said ALL parties. Rek is to blame too! I even said I do not agree with what Rek says, but am willing to listen to see their side of things -- as we all should be.

I can’t let this go. No, not every disagreement is “all sides are at fault”. That’s a total cop out. We have folks on here with varying levels of debating interest. Some are more polarizing than others. If someone posts something blatantly insulting and mean spirited and folks don’t like it and respond it isn’t everyone is equally wrong.

I don't agree with all of Reks beliefs, but they have the same right to their beliefs as everyone else and bring up some good points. There is ZERO need to attack someone based on beliefs -- political or otherwise.

Having good, open discussion from ALL sides is important to fix these issues. No side is innocent in this and and it's absolutely disgusting.

You joined this board less than a year ago. You have missed almost two decades of conversations to better understand the situation. This board doesn't allow political discussion for a good reason, but Rek constantly breaks that rule and then plays the victim. It's a repetitive cycle. Unfortunately, you fell for his victimhood because you have missed so much here. So yes, he has earned every bit of mockery at this point. So before you continue to try to defend him, you should probably sit back and read the last two decades of conversations between this message board and the old message board.
