Ticket Misspelling?

I'm sure some of you have spotted this by now but it's starting to get a lot of play on twitter by our "friends". Guess we're "dialing up" A&T this year. Don't know which end the mistake was on but we had a problem with the El Cid tickets last year and now this. Got to have some backup on the proofing.

That is hilarious, but strange considering that my season tickets don't have the error.

Yeah, I'm trying to find out how many were affected. Maybe Daphne can help out with that. I started seeing tweets about it yesterday but it's really taken off today. Could be a proof mistake that someone got a pic of (one time thing) or maybe a mistake on a printing run. All I know is that it's being posted and re-tweeted by a lot of fans of our SoCon buddies. I'm digging for some pics that were posted back around the 6th.

I wish we were playing Sprint this year. Our receivers would light them up cause their coverage sucks

Since there now seems to be some mystery as to whether this is real or not I am going back and pulling the first post I saw about this and a few from today, including our favorite Terrier and another noted App detractor. Also I am posting the complete pic in the next post. Sorry it took me so long to find the first one. I go through hundreds of these a day and, while I knew I had seen it, I wasn't sure which search engine I had used.
I wish I could just go and look at my tickets but medical bills have stopped me from buying season tickets the last two years. Hopefully everyone that has theirs can take a look.
First tweet back on the 11th, around midnight:

Mostly full picture that each is posting a link to. If this is a photoshop job then someone had access to this set of tickets, or someone posted them on the web and the image was used. If this was a misprint then someone took a picture of it that has found it's way onto the web. Even though the account number shows on the picture floating around on the web I chose to crop it off. This image still shows the row and seat number which I had removed before. If this is a fake then maybe the owner of these tickets can remember if someone had access to them.

When we pack tickets, most of the smaller ticket envelopes have already been put together by the ticket office.
Just looking at the margins on the alleged error makes me think it's a photoshopped deal. I know my tix are correct. The printer wouldn't have been likely to swap out proofs in mid-print, nor would the ticket office have been likely to have just some of the tickets reprinted. Logic would indicate we're looking at a joke...I hope.

My tickets are correct. And Charleston Southern is the adjacent ticket to A&T, not Samford. Looks like a fake to me.

Some hater likely just has too much time on their hands. I found it funny though because I've made that slip when referring to NC AT&....errr A&T before.

Looking like it is. Pretty stupid thing to do but I guess haters will look for anything to make App look bad. I wish I had never put it up now but with the people starting to re-tweet it today I thought it might be better if it came from one of us instead of someone else. Haters gonna hate, even on something as stupid as this, although it did give us a great reply from appvette. Kudos on the Sprint post.

My tickets are correct. Think there's a trickster and we've been tricked.

As App Fan pointed out, the half-season ticket package is A&T, Samford and UTC so it could explain that. It's on the half-season tickets and not on the full-season tickets.

Explains why we haven't seen more of it. It's a half-season package and the weaker of the two.
Oh well. We do need more than three full-time people in the ticket office me thinks. Steve White does a heck of a job with what he has.

Thanks Dog (I sound like Randy Jackson now

), at least that clears it up. I don't feel so bad about posting it now but I do feel bad for whoever missed it when it was sent to the printers. Also explains why it's just hitting the internet now. I agree SW does a good job and I hate we had another mistake like last year. But unlike "Citidel" I think AT&T is more like a brain fart. Something you've seen for years and just look across when proofing. Still a mistake but an understandable one.
